Info: Fourteen years ago, Nathan McCall was a guest on Booknotes for his memoir "Makes Me Wanna Holler." It's the story of his early life that included running with gangs, committing crimes, spending time in prison, and then changing his life eventually to become a reporter for the Washington Post. Throughout the book, McCall details his experiences with racial relations and his anger towards whites. Using video clips from the 1994 program, we look at how time has changed his life and his thoughts on race. In addition, we talk about his new novel entitled "Them."
