Info: Our guests are Allis Radosh and Ronald Radosh to discuss their latest book "A Safe Haven: Harry S. Truman and the Founding of Israel." The book is the story of President Truman and his decision to have the United States recognize the State of Israel. That recognition officially happened on May 14, 1948. Much of the documentation for this book is based on never-before-used archival material. Ronald Radosh is the author or co-author of 14 books and is professor emeritus of history at City University of New York. Allis Radosh has taught at both Sarah Lawrence College and the City University of New York. This is the second book the couple have written together. The first was entitled "Red Star Over Hollywood: The Film Colony's Long Romance with the Left" published in 2005.
