He was one of the first members of the Politburo and a leader in the Red Army. Previously, Robert Service has authored biographies on Stalin and Lenin. In this interview, he talks about all three leaders, their relationships, their work in the Communist party, and their deaths. Robert Service teaches Russian History at Oxford University.
