Info: Our guest is Michael Kaiser, president of The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. That position includes responsibility for all of the programming at the Center. Earlier this year, Mr. Kaiser created the Kennedy Center Arts Management Institute which trains people to become managers in the arts field. He has just completed a 69 city tour in connection with the Arts in Crisis initiative where he spoke with local arts communities on how to handle the impact of reduced funding due to the recession. Michael Kaiser has been president of the Kennedy Center since 2001. Previously he has worked with the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater Foundation, American Ballet Theatre, Kansas City Ballet, and the Royal Opera House in London.
